A Big Heart, and a Thriving Economy
So much of Kent County’s success comes directly from our tourism industry. Each year, tourism brings over $578 million in visitor and vacation spending, and creates 5,220 jobs (5.9% of our county’s employment!) Tourism makes up our fourth largest state employment industry, and without this critical segment, Delaware households would pay an additional $1,360 in their taxes.
