83rd ANNUAL DOVER DAYS FESTIVAL VENDOR/EXHIBITOR EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DISCOUNT DEADLINE APPROACHI
DOVER, DE – Kent County Tourism Corporation announced that Wednesday, March 11th is the early bird deadline to save on Dover Days Festival vendor/exhibitor application fees. After that vendor applications will still be accepted till Friday, April 8th at an increased price. Those wishing to participate in the Parade or Car show have until April to register on the festivals official website at www.DoverDaysFestival.com.This year’s festival is set for May 6-8 on Legislative Mall, The Green and throughout Dover, will feature a unique blend of old and new, such as a spectacular Friday night fireworks show, craft and food vendors as well as a history village featuring Colonial and Victorian trades." The following are ways to participate in Dover Days:
• Vendor/Exhibitor/Nonprofit/Home and Trade Show/Food – Crafters, artists and artisans, resellers, nonprofit organizations, food and home and trade exhibitors are wanted. Last year, 300 spaces were filled, making Dover Days the largest vendor show in the State of Delaware. Early-bird discounts apply.
• Parade and Pet Parade – Car clubs, marching groups, bands, fire companies, floats, schools, civic organizations and commercial entries are invited to participate in the parade, Kent County’s largest parade, which steps off on Saturday, May 7 at 9:30 a.m. Those with pets, costumed and non-costumed, are invited to participate in the annual Kritter Sitter Pet Parade. There is no fee for either parade except a small fee for non-sponsoring commercial entries.
• Sponsors – Businesses and community organizations interested in promoting before a crowd of 50,000 attendees at one of Delaware’s longest-running and most beloved events are invited to join the event as a sponsor. Entertainment, fireworks, Colonial artisans and several other aspects of the festival are in need of sponsorship so that the tradition of providing free admission and quality programming can continue. Opportunities start at just $100 and up.
• Dover Days Car Show – The Dover Days Car Show continues to grow every year and is one of the Sunday, May 8 highlights of Dover Days. Nestled beside the Dover Days Cup vintage baseball tournament, this judged car show awards 26 trophies and other prizes. Those who register early save $5.
“Dover Days is Kent County’s largest festival and one of Delaware’s longest running events that celebrates First State history” said Wendie Vestfall, Executive Director Kent County Tourism Corporation. “It’s a perfect opportunity for a wide variety of vendors to showcase and sell their locally- and regionally-made crafts including jewelry, wearable art, pottery, wood products, paintings, photographs and prints, food products and children's items. Space is limited and sells out quickly so vendors wishing to participate should take advantage of the discounted price while they can.”
