Join us at the Biggs Museum of American Art for the grand opening reception of Award Winners XXIV, an annual exhibition celebrating Delaware's outstanding visual, performing, and literary artists. Curated by the Delaware Division of the Arts, this exhibition marks the 24th year of our partnership, showcasing the incredible talents of fellowship recipients for 2024.
Discover the diverse array of artistic expressions from choreographers, composers, musicians, writers, folk artists, media artists, and visual artists hailing from across Delaware. After a rigorous review process by out-of-state arts professionals, twenty artists were selected as fellows, with one designated as a Master, ten as Established, and nine as Emerging artists.
The evening will commence at 5:00 PM with the opening of the exhibition at the Biggs Museum of American Art. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the captivating works of the fellowship recipients, engaging with their creativity and skill across various art forms. Light food and refreshments will be served, providing a delightful culinary experience amidst the artistic ambiance.
As the clock strikes 7:00 PM, the celebration will transition to the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts, where the festivities will continue with captivating performances by talented performing artists and inspiring readings by literary artists. Please note that the Biggs Museum will close at 7:00 PM, and all guests are invited to join us at the Schwartz Center for the next phase of the celebration.
The exhibition, Award Winners XXIV, will run from April 18, 2024, to July 28, 2024, with additional showcases at CAMP Rehoboth and Cab Calloway School of the Arts.
